About Marilyn
It has been a wonderful adventure to have seen and participated in several graphic revolutions during my career. It all began by chance when I found a job at a small printing company in Atlanta, Georgia where I learned skills that served me well as my career moved from printing to graphic design and on to web strategy, architecture, design and management.
In San Francisco, I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients including Manuel Neri, Pacific Bell, Sola Optical, Harper&Row, the San Francisco Foundation, Altos Computers, MotionAnalysis Corporation, Addison Wesley and Benjamin Cummings on a wide range of design projects.
In Geneva, Switzerland, I initiated a fruitful association with The World Health Organization, designing five issues of the World Health Report, two celebrations of World Health Day and multiple advocacy projects for TB, HIV/AIDS, safe motherhood, ICTs and Health, Mental Health, Active Aging and more. I also worked with the International Trade Center, Unicef and UNAIDS on a variety of projects, including early web designs.
in the DC Metro area, before becoming a Board Member and lead web architect for the GoodSpeaks Project, I was the Web & Design Manager at International Partnership for Microbicides. I planned and implemented the overhaul and redesign of the corporate website (in Drupal) and online communications strategy as well as consolidating and updating the existing visual identity. Before working with IPM, I worked with many other clients in the area, including American Chemistry Council, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), C. Fox Communications, LLC, Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County Campus.
